At Winchell Mountain Coffee, quality is our number one priority. Once you know what quality tastes like, the rest is just mediocre. With a strong belief in great food diversity, a certain amount of snobbery in what we consume and, above all, second to none quality, we hold this coffee to a very high standard. Naturally we believe in sharing and distributing a quality product that we, and many others, have enjoyed for so long.
Winchell Mountain Coffee purchases and roasts only the best Arabica beans. Our coffee beans are not actually purchased or roasted until samples have met certain specifications. Winchell Mountain Coffee is roasted all by hand and under the watchful eye of Bob Rivkin, who has perfected an art over his long, accomplished tenure as master roaster of Schapira's Coffee and Tea. The main objective of our coffee roasting and packaging process is freshness. This is achieved through meticulous attention to detail. After the beans are done roasting, they are checked for perfection and sent to cooling for a short period of time. They are then vacuum packaged in Goglio valve bags and sent off for your enjoyment. The Goglio bags are used to ensure quality and freshness and are non-resealable for a reason.
Once a vacuum pack seal is broken, it is essential for ALL coffee to be stored in an air tight and hidden from light container to ensure freshness. Please understand that this is the best way to ensure quality, freshness and taste for ALL coffees, not just ours. We want our customers to enjoy Winchell Mountain Coffee, as it should be.
